We’ve all experienced the rush of adrenaline we get when we pull the throttle and feel that horsepower thrust us through the water, and the feeling of pure freedom we feel flying across the water on our jet craft. For many, Jet skiing presents a world of excitement & possibilities every time we drop our watercraft into the water.

At Leading Edge Impellers, our passion for Jet skiing sprouted back in 1986 when David, an avid jet skier and the founder of LEI, was part of the development team working for Skat-Trak (a world-renowned impeller manufacture). With that professional experience involved with the design, testing, manufacturing and development of newer, more efficient impellers (read faster), and seeing a void in quality impeller service and sales, he went out on his own and founded Impros in 1999. Over the next 20 years, he became one of Skat-Trak and Solas' largest dealers, he developed the Hooker line of impellers, and continued to provide expert service & knowledge to everyone from the weekend warrior to the professional racer. During that time, with the help of friends, family & sponsors, he also put on a Jetski event for ten years straight, called Blythe Bound Smack Down (BBSD)- a hugely successful weekend-long customer appreciation event, and has since grown into a passion devoted to living life to its fullest and sharing that enjoyment with others.

David Stewart, founder, and former owner of Impros Impellers has brought that passion, and his years of experience and valuable knowledge to you with this new company, Leading Edge Impellers.

Leading Edge Impellers is a company founded upon years of experience working with professional and amateur race teams, watercraft manufacturers, and designing & producing performance impellers such as the popular “Hooker Impeller”, as well as aftermarket products providing solutions to help the recreational rider and dealerships alike.

While much has changed since 1986, our passion for this sport, and desire to help you enjoy it to the fullest, lives on in what Leading Edge was established to do- provide the highest quality personal watercraft & jet boat impeller solutions with impeller sales, custom modifications & repair, as well as knowledgeable and helpful advice to help you maximize the performance of your Jet Craft, and keep you out on the water as much as possible.
